Model Solution announces its 2019 Model One Award winners
Model Solution has announced that
it will continue to sponsor its Model One Award (MOA) in 2019. This year, MOA will
be held at the International Design Conference (IDC), annual event organized by Industrial
Designers Society of America (IDSA), which runs from August 21 to 24 in Chicago.
Model Solution has sponsored this
special award program for the fourth consecutive year since 2016 as a part of its
efforts to recognize and support talented industrial design university students to realize their
innovative design concepts.
The winners of MOA 2019 are two
students from Arizona State University (ASU) and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
The first winner, Seyla Muise of ASU, has come up with a very unique and interesting design concept about “Air Purifier”. This design focuses on 360 degrees air distribution to allow a more efficient and sustainable cooling system.
The second winner, Adele Rehkemper of UIUC, created a challenging design concept about “LP Player”. This design concept was derived from the idea to utilize a mixture of natural materials for the record player, reminding people of ritual of listening to music in analog audio quality with 2019 ambiance.
These student winners through collaboration with Model Solution have gained valuable experience in creating high fidelity appearance models, turning their design ideas into reality.
Model Solution is committed to finding ways to collaborate with future design leaders who would lead innovative product designs. Model Solution plans to continue to support “global design projects” in collaboration with some of the best universities around the world in industrial design field.
