Model Solution Showcases Next-Generation Robotics Technologies at ‘ROBOTWORLD 2025’
Accelerating Future Growth Through Advanced Robotics and Precision Manufacturing ■ Member of the K-Humanoid Alliance, unveiling next-generation robot and mobility solutions ■ Showcasing core drive technologies including Korea’s first AFPM-based ultra-light actuator, highlighting precision manufacturing excellence ■ Realizing Hankook & Company Chairman Cho Hyun-bum’s mid-to-long-term group strategy “S.T.R.E.A.M,” strengthening global technological competitiveness Model Solution Co., Ltd. (CEO Woo Byung-il), a global innovation hardware platform company and an affiliate of Hankook & Company Group led by Chairman Cho Hyun-bum, is showcasing its next-generation robotics technologies and one-stop total hardware solutions at ‘ROBOTWORLD 2025’, held at KINTEX, Ilsan, through November 8. Model Solution plays a central role in implementing the “Rising Tech” pillar within the group’s mid- to long-term strategic portfolio S.T.R.E.A.M., initiated under Chairman Cho Hyun-bum’s leadership. S.T.R.E.A.M. integrates the group’s six core business domains — Sustainable Energy (battery & renewables), Tire industry, Rising Technology, Electrification solutions, Automation & logistics, and Mobility — to define the future growth direction of Hankook & Company Group. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, ROBOTWORLD is Korea’s largest robotics exhibition, offering visitors a comprehensive view of the latest technological trends and innovations in the robotics industry. At Booth E13, Hall 1, Model Solution — a proud member of the K-Humanoid Alliance — will unveil its self-developed robots and core components, demonstrating capabilities that span from design and engineering to prototyping and mass production. Visitors will also be able to experience a range of live demonstrations showcasing the company’s robotics expertise in action. ■ Korea’s First AFPM-Based Ultra-Light Smart Actuator The highlight of Model Solution’s showcase is Korea’s first Axial Flux Permanent Magnet (AFPM)-based ultra-light smart actuator developed for humanoid-robot joints. Serving as the “muscles and joints” of humanoid robots, this actuator physically realizes AI-driven decisions and movements. It is an all-in-one drive module that integrates the motor, reducer, drive, sensors, and communication units into a single compact structure — only 80 mm in diameter, 60 mm in height, and weighing under 850 g. Delivering industry-leading power density and high back-drivability, it enables humanoid robots to respond naturally to external forces, ensuring safe and fluid human-robot interaction. Its compact and lightweight design makes it applicable across a wide range of fields, from precision manufacturing to service robotics requiring delicate motion control. ■ Versatile AMR Platform with Modular Expansion Model Solution’s Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) platform is a universal mobility system powered by AI-based autonomous driving technology. Its key advantage lies in its expandable modularity, allowing users to customize top modules according to industry requirements — from conveyor modules for manufacturing and cargo modules for logistics, to delivery and guidance units for service industries or sanitation and patrol modules for smart-city environments. Through live demonstrations, Model Solution highlights the scalability and versatility of its AMR platform as a foundation for next-generation mobility robotics. ■ AI Autonomous Personal Mobility Jointly developed with Hycore, the AI-powered autonomous personal mobility vehicle embodies futuristic aesthetics through specialized CMF (Color, Material, Finish) design while maintaining practical usability. Its AI navigation system learns user movement patterns, suggests optimal routes, and ensures safe travel through obstacle detection and avoidance. As a last-mile mobility solution, it is ideal for short-distance transport within cities, campuses, airports, and large facilities. Model Solution contributed across the entire development process — from design and engineering to prototype manufacturing — proving its precision-manufacturing and hardware-integration expertise. A live driving demonstration will showcase the product’s readiness for commercialization. ■ AI Smart Goggles Co-developed with VIRNECT, the AI Smart Goggles are an AR-based industrial device that earned the ‘CES 2025 Innovation Award’, underscoring Model Solution’s global technological excellence. These smart goggles project real-time work data, safety guidance, and remote-collaboration tools through augmented reality directly in the user’s field of view, significantly improving efficiency and accuracy in industrial settings. They can be applied across precision assembly, inspection, maintenance, and remote technical support. Equipped with AI voice recognition, gesture control, and LTE connectivity, the lightweight goggles enable hands-free operation and seamless real-time data transfer. An interactive demo zone at the exhibition allows visitors to experience these functions firsthand in a simulated work environment. ■ Advanced Robotics Portfolio and Future Outlook In addition to these technologies, Model Solution is also exhibiting an in-wheel actuator applied to non-pneumatic tires (NPT) and a CMF-specialized humanoid prototype, underscoring its advanced design and engineering capabilities. Recently selected as a new member of the K-Humanoid Alliance, organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT), Model Solution continues to strengthen its core robotics technologies. At ROBOTWORLD 2025, the company aims to demonstrate precision-drive systems and mobility platforms developed under this initiative — further reinforcing Korea’s technological competitiveness and reliability in robotics. “Through our participation in ROBOTWORLD 2025, Model Solution is proud to showcase our robotics capabilities built upon years of precision manufacturing and hardware innovation,” said Woo Byung-il, CEO of Model Solution. “As part of the K-Humanoid Alliance, we will accelerate the internalization of robotics technologies, contribute to Korea’s technological self-reliance and supply-chain stability, and expand global partnerships to lead the evolution of a uniquely Korean robotics ecosystem.”
