Model Solution Participates in National Project to Develop High-Performance XR Devicesœ

■  Leading XR device development within a national project worth KRW 20.7 billion ■  Aiming to develop industrial XR devices at a commercial-ready level   Model Solution, a Global Innovation Hardware Platform Company and an affiliate of Hankook & Company Group, will participate in a national R&D project to develop high-performance XR devices.   This national project, titled “Advanced XR Device and Component Integrated Technology Development for Spatial Computing,” is overseen by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, with a total budget of KRW 20.7 billion across three sub-projects.   Model Solution will lead ‘Task 1: Development of High-Performance XR Devices for Industrial Applications’. The company will receive approximately KRW 4.5 billion in R&D funding over 45 months and collaborate with the Korea Optical Industry Agency (KOIA).   This initiative aims to accelerate digital transformation in industrial settings using spatial computing technology, while strengthening Korea’s global competitiveness in the XR device market.    Model Solution’s goal is to develop XR devices suitable for industrial use at a commercial-ready level. Model Solution Participates in MWC 2025, the World’s Largest Mobile Exhibitionœ

Model Solution Co., Ltd., a global innovation hardware platform company and a subsidiary of Hankook & Company Group, will participate in MWC 2025.    MWC (Mobile World Congress) is the world's largest mobile technology exhibition, taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from March 3 to March 6 this year. Additionally, Model Solution will present the ‘AI Smart Goggles’, co-developed with AI and XR technology specialist Virnect.    These AI Smart Goggles are designed to enable smart factory operations using digital twin technology. Optimized for semiconductor and medical device manufacturing environments, which require cleanroom conditions, the goggles provide enhanced stability in complex work settings through AR software integration. The AI guidance system helps reduce work time and errors, while offering real-time data processing and remote support capabilities. Model Solution participates in ‘MD&M West 2025,’ the largest medical device exhibition in U.S.œ

Model Solution, a total hardware platform company and a subsidiary of Hankook & Company Group, participated in the Medical Design & Manufacturing West 2025 (MD&M West) exhibition, held in Anaheim, U.S., until February 6 (local time).   MD&M West is one of the largest medical device exhibitions in the U.S., serving as a platform for exchanging information on the latest technologies, trends, products, and services in the medical and manufacturing industries. The event plays a key role in promoting innovation and development in the global medical device industry.   Since 2017, Model Solution has consistently participated in MD&M West to identify key medical device clients in the U.S., gain insights into the latest market trends, and actively expand into the medical device industry—one of the company's key strategic growth areas.   At this year’s MD&M West, Model Solution showcased its cutting-edge medical device products that incorporate the company's innovative technology, as well as its AR (Augmented Reality) HMD (Head-mounted Display), a cutting-edge device that has been gaining attention as a key technology for future industries. Model Solution Signs MOU with Advanced Materials Company Graphene Squareœ

Model Solution, a total hardware platform company and a subsidiary of Hankook & Company Group (formerly Hankook Tire Group), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with advanced materials company Graphene Square Co., Ltd. (CEO Hong Byung-hee) on January 22. The MOU focuses on the development and production of innovative electronic devices utilizing graphene.   Graphene Square, founded in 2012 by Professor Hong Byung-hee of Seoul National University’s Department of Chemistry, is a leading advanced materials company. It has been focusing on the mass production and commercialization of graphene, often called the "material of dreams" due to its strength—200 times that of steel—and exceptional electrical conductivity. The company holds proprietary patented technology for continuous production of graphene using large-scale chemical vapor deposition (CVD).   In particular, Graphene Square's 'Cordless Transparent Graphene Cooker', which Model Solution participated in the development process, allows users to see the cooking process through the transparency of graphene, and optimizes the mid-infrared wavelength to enhance the natural flavors of ingredients.   By replacing the heating element with graphene, it can cook with half the power (600W) compared to a conventional cooker. It also features modular, detachable upper and lower heaters and a battery, making it versatile for various applications. Additionally, its eco-friendly design minimizes electromagnetic wave emissions.   Thanks to these innovations, the cooker was named one of Time Magazine’s Best Inventions of the Year and a recipient of the 2024 CES Innovation Award.   Through this agreement, the two companies plan to establish a framework for collaboration and information sharing in developing and producing innovative electronic devices using graphene for mutual benefit. Model Solution Participates in ‘CES 2025’, the World's Largest IT Exhibitionœ
